  • Research current and potential issues that effect TN GLBTs
  • Develop fact based reports & reference material for relative issues
  • Keep list of current political and influential persons in TN local and state government and their respective voting record and/or public positions on relevant GLBT issues

  • Plan, coordinate and execute an effective campaign to raise funds for the support of the organization and its goals
  • Examine all organization activities to increase fundraising opportunities

Public Relations, Chair: Christopher Sanders

    The public relations committee coordinates with local media to help get information about the Tennessee Equality Project to the public. If you are interested in volunteering, please, contact Chris Sanders

  • Develop organizational image consistent with TEP's mission & goals
  • Create and execute plan to increase TEP name recognition across the state
  • Develop media contact list across the state; identify contacts
  • Identify media spokespersons and contacts for organization's events and public exposure
  • Create press releases and media kits where needed
  • Represent the organization at other GLBT related functions across the state, region, nation.

  • Research potential alliances local, state, regional, national
  • Compile and maintain accurate lists and contact info on GLBT organizations across the state
  • Work to increase participation in TEP activities
  • Develop list and way to disseminate information about other organization activities and relevant issues
