TEP Lobbies Elected Officials

Tennessee Equality Project's public policy team works closely with members of the General Assembly and other elected officials to shape and pass GLBT-friendly laws and to defeat discriminatory legislation.

TEP Organizes Communities

Tennessee Equality Project builds grassroots strength to influence state and local-level decision makers. We work with local and national groups in a common effort to support GLBT Tennesseans.

TEP's outreach programs are a powerful grassroots network of concerned community members that work at the state, regional, and local levels to educate and advocate for GLBT rights.

TEP provides the organizational infrastructure for rapid, reasonable, and effective responses of GLBT concern.

Furthermore, TEP informs Tennesseans through public education campaigns that include media statements, email alerts, educational forums and conferences.

TEP Educates the Public

The TEP Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is scheduled for creation in 2005. Its purpose is to expand the mission of the Outreach activities by educating Tennesseans about issues facing the GLBT community.
